Lisinopril can have several side effects;
* cough
* dizziness
* headache
* excessive tiredness
* nausea
* diarrhea
* weakness
* sneezing
* runny nose
* decrease in sexual ability
* rash
* swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs
* hoarseness
* difficulty breathing or swallowing
* fever, sore throat, chills, and other signs of infection
* yellowing of the skin or eyes
* lightheadedness
* fainting
* chest pain

My personal opinion is that medications to lower blood pressure can do more harm than good. A healthy diet, drinking 1.5 to 2 litres of water a day and supplements such as Omega 3 (nutri-link are a good brand) can all help much more. Although this documentary is about diabetes it is just as great for blood pressure;

Lisinopril (brand names Prinivil, Zestril) is an ACE inhibitor that is prescribed for high blood pressure, congestive heart failure and is also given after heart attacks to improve survival.

All medicines have the potential for adverse reactions. Common and mild side effects of Lisinopril include dizziness, headache, nausea, nonproductive cough, tiredness and vomiting.

Less common side effects include severe allergic reactions, chest pain, change in heartbeat, heartbeat, joint pain, muscle cramps or weakness; numbness or tingling of hands or feet; persistent and unusual stomach pain, sore throat or fever; severe dizziness, shortness of breath; trouble swallowing, unusual bruising or bleeding, severe weakness or tiredness, changes invision and yellowing of the skin or eyes.

Lisinopril has been prescribed for high blood pressure since the late 1960s, and in clinical trials only a very small percentage of patients had severe symptoms.

I took that for about two days and it gave me a horrible cough. I ended up taking Benicar instead.
