Your blood pressure and heart rate are both important when it comes to judging your health but they can vary widely depending on your activity level, stress level, medications you are on, and even with the time of day. Generally for the average adult a blood pressure reading of 120/80 mm HG or lower is considered healthy, a reading from 120-139/80-89 is considered pre-hypertensive, and readings above 140/90 are considered high or hypertensive. High blood pressure or hypertension is very dangerous and should not be ignored.
It is important to understand just what the numbers means. The first number on the top of the fraction is the systolic number which is the pressure reading during the actual heart beat. The second number on the bottom of the fraction is the diastolic number which is the reading from between beats or while the heart is resting.
In your case your systolic number is high while your diastolic number is pre-hypertensive. Understand now that to get a clear picture of your blood pressure it needs to be taken at several times during the day to get a clear picture. One of the best times to take your pressure is right after you wake up without the use of an alarm. This will give a better picture of the state of your blood pressure. If your systolic pressure remains high after repeated blood pressure tests then you have high blood pressure and should see a doctor for treatments. High systolic pressure can lead to strokes, heart attacks, congestive heart failure, kidney damage, and blindness along with other health problems.
You did not mention your age and this is an important consideration when judging your blood pressure. For younger people the second number or diastolic pressure can be the more important one when checking for high blood pressure. As we age our systolic pressure tends to increase and the diastolic tends to fall. Other things that can have an effect on your blood pressure include your body mass or weight, life style, and family history of heart problems.
Needless to say if you are experiencing any chest pains, breathing problems, unusual tireness, numbness in the arms or jaw, or heart palpatations then you should see a doctor right away.

People with blood pressure of 150/90 or above are usually prescribed high blood pressure medication to reduce/control hypertension. High blood pressure is called the "silent killer" because quite often there are no detectable symptoms until blood pressure is critically high or damage has occurred as a result of hypertension.

Have your blood pressure checked frequently and keep a record of the time and reading. Contact your doctor for an evaluation of your high blood pressure and provide the record. This can help your doctor determine if you do need to be on medication or if a change of lifestyle habits is in order.

Please do not ignore or trivialize your high blood pressure and seek proper medical attention. I wish you well.
