Do you practice meditation?

Meditation helps you on your journey to peace. It holds your mind, body, and spirit together. Meditation is a technique in which you induce yourself into a self awareness state of being. Meditation is linked to changes in blood pressure, stress, metabolism, and other human conditions. You should practice regular meditation for the total well-being of your body.

I have participated in meditation for over 20 years, and believe it is one of the reasons I have low blood pressure and a peaceful mind.

I began learning some basic meditation techniques as part of a yoga class I used to take. Gradually, I increased my interest in meditation and added separate meditation groups with guided meditations.

Now, I find that I can meditate, slow my beathing, relax and reduce my feelings of stress in almost any situation. I hope other people will take the time to study this ancient art and learn how it can improve their lives and sense of well-being, too!

Nope i prefer Motivation as meditation cools you down and dead bodies are the cool bodies as per nature if you learn from it even a engine wont work if it freezes it needs to be hot not even the food will cook in cold water. If you need to live full you need to burn and that comes from motivation that keeps you going on and on and on...

Even a girl needs to be HOT to get the attraction of most of the guys not all there are jerks who like coldblooded..

Be Motivated, Be Fired Up, Burn Your Path towards Your Goal

I believe very strongly in the benefits of meditation. I like guided meditation for about 15-20 minutes daily. Whenever I don't have time for a whole guided meditation, I try to find at least five-ten minutes each day to get quiet, close my eyes and take a few deep breaths. I imagine a stream of healing white energy above me that I breathe into my body. Instantly, as this healing white beam of energy enters through the top of my head and moves down my body I feel my muscles relax. I actually feel re-energized and become very centered. The relaxation and pure joy I feel when meditating cannot be explained unless it is to another practitioner.

By sllencing the noisy chatter in m mind I can hear my inner voice which some would say is the Source of all life. I come out of meditation peaceful, centered, more relaxed and feeling more connected to everyone arouond me.

If I am experiencing a problem or a condition in my life that is troubling, I ask for guidance before the meditation. Usually, I do receive some insight that would normally not have occurred to me if I were not meditating in a relaxed state.

I have heard of the benefits of mediation for years and believe that if the people in the world would all meditate daily, we could all live in peace and harmony knowing we are all ONE from the same Source.

May the best part of me find the best part of you! Namaste!

No meditation, like yoga bug the hell out of me. I find it slow, boring, and non productive. All reasons why I'm sure it would be beneficial to me, ha! But, I just can't stand it and I don't have the patience for it.

Answer 9/16 - Submitted 7/8/2011

Mediation helps to relax me after working in the city. New York City that is. A very difficult place to live and full of crazy people on every corner. When I get home, meditation takes me to a quiet place where I can think about the day I just had and analyze it to make sense.

By the end of my mediation, I feel rejuvenated and can begin the second part of my day. The second part of my day being my home and personal life.

I practice mediation everyday no matter what because it keeps my life balanced.

Answer 10/16 - Submitted 7/8/2011

Yes I practice meditation. Meditation is an art of knowing your self and concentrating. There are many techniques of meditation.

I practice a meditation called Vipasana meditaion. This is a very old and traditional meditation which is founded by Buddha. This is a unique type of meditation which helps us to know things as it is.

Although there are many techniques of meditation but all have the same purpose that is to improve your life style and know your sub conscious mind.

Answer 11/16 - Submitted 7/24/2011

For some reason i find the traditional forms of meditation very hard to do. My meditataion is reading a good book or singing along to the radio at full pitch ( poor neighbours! ) Also, writing a letter to a friend is my meditation. Really its taking time out to absorb myself in a pleasant activity, by myself. It seems to do the trick and leave me feeling rejuvenated.

My prayers are my meditation. I try to make sure to end my night by praying for forgiveness and for the ability to forgive. It eases my burdens and allows me to sleep easier.

Answer 15/16 - Submitted 12/12/2011

I started practicing meditation at age 16, would have done so sooner if it was for my over religious parent, who considered anything non-christian demonic, which is silly and why I'm strongly opposed to Christianity to this day.

Answer 16/16 - Submitted 1/4/2012

I really like meditating and actually took a course in Silva Mind Control at a local college years ago.

I also read the book on TM. I go through spirts of doing it regularly. I really have to get back to it.

I know I will feel a lot better if I do. Now that I am retired there is no reason not to make it a priority.
