WEIRD! I have Fibromyalgia, & high blood pressure as well! And since I got fibro I do not bruise either! it is frustrating, because even during ball season, I got hit by balls, really hard! and nothing would show! people looked at me like I was crazy when they touched me somewhere and I alsmost hit the ceiling cause of a bruise, but nothing appears on the skin,,,,so it is deffinately because of either Fibro or the HBP

I have asked my GP about this a lot, and he has no answer, as to most of our questions with fibro symptoms we have to turn to eachother!

I really don't know for sure, as with many of us that do not bruise, everyone we ask usually just shrugs it off, smiles or looks at you stupid. There are many of us, I am 55 & have never really bruised, although I have had more than ample opportunity. I have been hurt so bad that I swelled up & looked like the elephant man with all the bumps but within a 1/2 hour the swelling was gone as well as any evidence. Tough blood vessels is all I can offer, diet, life style, gender, health or race do not seem to matter. I do know that if I take Motrin regularly and get hit very hard, a faint discoloration is possible, but very faint and gone very quickly. Motrin thins the blood so I assume that is why it can happen.
