Frequent dizzy spells and hot flashes ? No this is not part of the ageing process by any means and your grandmother needs a good doctor that will help her and under stand what is going on in her aged system to cause this and i know she will have a lot more pains and times when things will happen but the dizzy spells and flashes are not good for any one and can only mean that she maybe has a infection going on or other such conditions that she can get help with . and just because we are old dont mean that we can not have a good quality of life and be cared for by the doctors and get the best out of life there is to enjoy and with these conditions she has something going on in the brain also and this may be the blood flow to the brain and can cause this to happen and the blood flow may be blocked somewhat and maybe there is medications to help her with this condtion to better help her get on with life so get her help and take good care of mother.

Has she just started the blood pressure meds? The beginning of starting blood pressure meds can cause dizziness for the first couple of weeks. If her meds are not new, I would purchase a blood pressure machine from any drug store and start keeping track of her blood pressures. They are around $50.00. Hot flashes are sudden intense heat. Is that what she has? You might want to have her blood sugar tested, as low blood sugars can cause sweating and dizziness. I hope she feels better soon.
