Upset Stomach for almost 5 days, doctors say nothing is wrong.

Alright, about 5 days ago I had a panic attack at friends house because I had an upset stomach. I have a phobia of vomit, and anything that has to do with it. Anyways, for the past 5 days I've been on adge of being sick. I went to the hospital plent of times and they said it was because of my anxiety and I had to deal with it myself. What I don't get it that is was there before my panic attack and It still hasn't left. My symptoms are: Weak, upset stomach just above my belly button. Nervous feelings, Head aches. I can hardly eat because It feels as if it doesn't want to stay down. Fast paste heat beat when panicing. very gassy, feeling like i need to burp. My stools are very dark sometimes green sometimes black and a creme texture not diarrhea. Dizzy spells, and random head aches. This has been going on for about 5 days now, I really need to know whats going on... I've called telehealth, i've went to the doctors office. They think its a stomach flu that has been going around, and others say its my anxiety. How long is this going to last, and what is it?

thank you for your time!

p.s.
I have no fever, no high or low blood pressure, and no allergies.

Msamanda, the stomach flu can last from one to ten days. Typically about a week. I can understand your fear of vomiting as my daughter suffered from this for many years. If it makes you feel any better and I hope it will, it is doubtful that you will vomit at this stage since it typically occurs within the first couple of days.

You might be making your symptoms worse by not eating or not eating enough. I know it is hard to think of eating when you are feeling so badly, but it will help if can eat and especially stay hydrated. First,do not glug a lot of liquid at once as that can make your stomach feel worse. Instead, suck on ice chips or sip on a warm beverage such as an herbal tea (nothing heavy like milk, cocoa or fizzy like soda pop). Eat some mild carbohydrates like crackers and jello because if your stomach is empty, it will give you that gassy, nauseated hurty feeling. Gradually add a little protein as you can handle it like chicken noodle soup. Stay away from fatty foods and spicy foods till you feel 100 percent better.

I am very sorry that the doctors you saw did not do anything for you. Perhaps, if your symptoms continue beyond the length of time a flu should last you should make an appointment with a gastroenterologist (stomach specialist). I also think you should talk to your doctor about possibly giving you an antianxiety medication and recommend a therapist that can help you deal with your fear. If nausea continues to be a problem, perhaps call and request an antinausea medication. Feel better soon.

PS Did you mention the color changes in your stool to any of the doctors? What did they say? If you are taking something like Pepto Bismol, it can change your stool to a black color. But if you haven't been taking it or any other medication, you should mention the color changes if you haven't already.

Went out drinking and sunddenly felt horrible. Next day horrible diarreah, couldn't eat or drink anything. The next day still didn't want to eat, but when I did became very gassy, and then vomited very little. Slept great that night, woke up and had a little more diarreah, but then actually felt like I wanted to eat. But now my stomach seems to have taken another step back. I thought this was a hangover at first but now I don't know what.

I think it might possibly just be some sort of indigestion, and now that you are seriously panicky about it, you are experiencing even more problems. Stress can do a number on your body, even on your tummy and digestion.
