What are the side effects of salt I got to feeling very tingly and blood pressure shot up and heart rate when to 101...took my blood pressure medicine and slowly i began to feel better.....I had eaten popcorn with salt and real butter, a soft drink and a slice of hot pepper cheese...could this have cause me to get that strange feeling...nothing hurt....my whole body felt like something was going thru the veins |

The popcorn salt and the salt in the cheese you ate probably triggered symptoms of salt-sensitive hypertension.
