Why is my hair falling out?

I have lost 50 pounds in 6 months on weight watchers diet and my problem is this I am losing my hair. I started diet in Feb,2010 and in April 2010 my Dr. changed my thyroid and blood pressure medicine, that is the only change. She decreased my thyroid medicine and added to my high blood pressure medicine. I have been on many diets and have never lost my hair before. I have called the Dr. about this and she doesn;t seem to think its the medicine, I am to see her tomorrow. Recently while having my hair colored which I do at a shop maybe twice a year the top of my head started burning so bad the hair dresser had to rinse out the color. She said have your Dr. check your blood pressure medicine. She didn't seem to think it was the dye. I also noticed I am getting very flabby, I walk 30 minutes a day and also lift some 5 pound weights. I take a vitamin and calcium supplement and also the thyroid and blood pressure medicine, I also take fish oil supplements , why is my hair falling out? Thank You Barb Profit

I had the same problem when I lost my weight with WW. The one thing I would suggest you focus on is lean protein (eggs, chicken breast, reduced fat cheese, greek yogurt, nuts, etc.). I know I cut back on protein because the Point values were more than I wanted to "spend", but protein is very important for your health. Hope this helps!
