Would hydralazine 50mg tablets alone be effective in lowering ones blood pressure |

Hydralazine is one of the potent arterial vasodilator & thereby decrease blood pressure. It is used mainly during hypertensive emergencies like accelerated or malignant hypertension or eclampsia. 50 mg tab of hydralazine alone is enough to control Blood pressure in most of the cases. But You must consult with your doctor for potential side effects & appropriate dosing so that blood pressure does not fall too much.

Hydralazine Tablets BP 50mg are rounded, biconvex, film-coated pink tablets with the recognizing letters āHZā on the opposite side and stamped āCā on the front.
Hydralazine is therapeutically indicated for ordinary to acute hypertension in connection with diuretic or a beta-adrenoceptor blocking agent, and hypertensive crisis.
Since the proper dosage needs to be modified to the specific requirements of the single case, it is simply impossible answer your question.
Hydralazine treatment should begin with low prescriptions of medication such as 50 mg once per day, which may be expanded gradually depending on the particular reaction, in order to attain optimal curative result whilst restraining undesired lateral effects to a minimum.
Sporadically, Hydralazine may provoke symptoms such as fluid retention, headache, palpitations, dizziness, flushing, angina, anorexia, nausea, nasal congestion, and vomiting.
